Product Overview
The QSFP28-100G-SR4 (Huawei part number 02311GBW) implements 103.125 Gbit/s 100GBASE-SR4 transmission as four parallel 25G lanes over 850 nm multimode fiber, using an MPO connector in the QSFP28 footprint. Huawei documents 70 m on OM3 and 100 m on OM4 with a 0°C to +70°C operating case temperature.
As the parallel-multimode member of the 100G family it carries the lowest power consumption and unit cost of the 100G lineup, and each 100G SR4 link can also break out into 4×25G SFP28 legs using breakout cable assemblies for 25G server farms.
Typical applications include leaf-spine and core 100G interconnects within the data hall, 100G links to storage arrays over OM4, and breakout to 4×25G server connectivity where existing OM3/OM4 trunks are reused.
