Product Overview
The QSFP-DD-400G-FR4 belongs to Huawei’s 400G series and implements 400Gbit/s transmission over four CWDM wavelengths of 1271, 1291, 1311 and 1331 nm onto a duplex LC singlemode fiber pair, with a documented 2 km reach. Electrically it presents 8×50G PAM4 lanes to the host ASIC inside the QSFP-DD footprint.
The duplex LC interface means 400G can be rolled out over exactly the same singlemode patching used for 100G CWDM4/LR4, with no MPO ribbon or parallel optics migration, which keeps cabling and patch-panel investments intact while multiplying fabric capacity fourfold.
Typical applications include 400G spine-leaf and super-spine interconnects, high-capacity DCI between halls or buildings up to 2 km apart, and 400G uplinks from 100G aggregation layers on Huawei CloudEngine platforms.
