The Huawei DBU50B is the battery unit of Huawei’s blade site power family, created for the one-site-one-blade approach that replaces equipment rooms with compact pole- or wall-mounted hardware. The unit stores energy for -48 VDC telecom loads and delivers up to 3 kW of backup power for macro and small-cell sites.
With a slim 300 x 120 x 420 mm blade format and approximately 26 kg weight, the DBU50B mounts on existing poles or walls without new civil works, enabling one-hour deployments. IP65 sealing and a fanless, bionic heat-dissipation design allow outdoor operation with no fan maintenance visits.
Two 80 A battery branches provide flexible backup distribution within the blade power architecture, complementing Huawei DPU DC units in complete site solutions. For operators densifying 5G networks, the DBU50B standardizes backup power across thousands of street-level sites while keeping OPEX low.
