Product Overview
The CS1798 is a multi-purpose 8-port USB HDMI KVM switch that consolidates access and control of up to 8 HDMI computers from a single USB keyboard, mouse and monitor console. It can be cascaded up to three levels to control up to 512 computers, and its Multi-Display feature stacks up to eight CS1798 units so each computer can drive dual, triple, quad or multi-monitor workstations.
Video runs at up to 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz and 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz with HDCP compatibility, and ATEN’s Video DynaSync technology eliminates boot-up display problems while optimizing resolution when switching ports. A built-in 2-port USB 2.0 hub, independent KVM/USB focus switching, multilingual OSD with backup/restore, broadcast mode and 2.1-channel audio round out the feature set. The metal housing measures 43.24 x 25.72 x 4.40 cm and weighs 3.49 kg; firmware v1.3.128 was released 2025-08-01.
