Product Overview
The QSFP-100G-CWDM4 (Huawei part number 02311MNN) implements 100GBASE-CWDM4 transmission by combining four 25G lanes on CWDM wavelengths of 1271, 1291, 1311 and 1331 nm onto a single duplex LC singlemode fiber pair, with a documented 2 km target distance on SMF. Huawei specifies Tx power of -6.5 to +2.5 dBm and receiver sensitivity of -10 dBm for the 02311MNN build, operating over a 0°C to +70°C case range.
CWDM4 uses uncooled lasers and a duplex LC interface, so it delivers 100G over ordinary duplex singlemode patch cords without the ribbon/MPO cabling that parallel optics require, and interoperates with 100G FR and CLR4-class links under the CWDM4 MSA.
Typical applications include 100G spine-leaf links up to 2 km, campus and metro building-to-building 100G runs over existing duplex singlemode plant, and data-center interconnect between nearby halls or buildings.
