Product Overview
The SFP-10G-SR1 belongs to Huawei’s StarryLink 10G optical module series and implements 10.3125 Gbit/s 10GBASE-SR transmission over 850 nm multimode fiber. It uses an LC/DLC duplex connector and Huawei documents reaches of 400 m on OM4, 300 m on OM3, 82 m on OM2 and 66 m on OM1 fiber, making it the standard choice for in-row and intra-building 10G links.
The module is specified for a 0°C to +70°C operating case temperature in the commercial data hall range and plugs into any Huawei SFP+ port supporting 10GBASE-SR. MMF-based SR links also keep transceiver power draw and cost at the low end of the 10G family.
Typical applications include 10G links between ToR and EoR switches, server 10G NIC connections over existing OM3/OM4 laser-optimized multimode trunks, and short data-center interconnect spans inside the same building.
