MPD Series DC cabinet air conditioner is a variable-frequency enclosure cooling unit powered directly by 48VDC. How to Select Cooling Capacity
Sizing a cabinet air conditioner starts with the heat load inside the enclosure: add the heat dissipated by rectifiers, batteries, inverters and other equipment, then include solar radiation gain on the cabinet surface (typically 500-1000 W for a cabinet in full sun). A common rule for telecom cabinets is to install a cooling unit rated at 1.2-1.5 times the calculated internal heat load. For a typical 5G outdoor cabinet with 2-3 kW of equipment heat, the MPD3000 or MPD4000 is the usual choice; small pole-mounted cabinets with under 1 kW of load use MPD0300-MPD1000.

Installation Notes
The MPD Series mounts on the cabinet side door or wall panel with a standard mounting flange; units from MPD0300 to MPD2000 fit most standard 19-inch and telecom outdoor cabinets. Keep at least 300 mm clearance around the condenser grille for airflow, and route the RS485 wiring to the site monitoring unit so alarm outputs reach the network management system. For sites below -20 °C, order the optional heater and enable low-temperature startup settings.
